Solid Filter Holders to Match Top-Quality Hitech Filters

At the heart of the Hitech system is its elegant filter holder. Rigid yet lightweight, the Hitech holder's precision-machined anodized aluminum construction can withstand a lifetime of professional use. Hitech filters slide smoothly in and out of the holder's spring-loaded slots.

Holders come in both 4"x4" 100mm (Hitech) and 85mm (Cokin P) sizes.

A Perfect Match for Your Filters and Lenses

There are several types of filter holders depending on which size filters you use and the lenses you use them with.

For the 4×4-inch family, you have three options:

The standard model (#1002) has slots for three filters, plus a 105mm threaded front ring for Hitech's accessory lens hoods and screw-in glass filters (such as polarizers.)
The wide-angle model (#1004) has two filter slots and no front ring, allowing vignette-free shooting even with wide-angle lenses having large front elements.
The compact third model (#1005) combines a single filter slot with a ring, useful for wide-angle work with polarizers.

The holder is secured to the lens with an adapter ring that fits precisely into the holder's rear flange, where it's tightened with a thumbscrew. Adapter rings come in both screw- and bayonet-mount versions, for all lens sizes from 49mm to 105mm. Wide-angle adapter rings are available in the same size range and can be used with any holder model. View camera users will be happy to know that the Hitech filter holder can even be used on the back of their lenses with a special rear-element adapter.

The Cokin Connection

Many photographers use the Cokin P filter system thanks to its sheer variety. Now, they can use the entire range of superior Hitech filters with their standard Cokin 85mm-wide hardware. Hitech 85mm filters are 100% compatible with Cokin P holders.

The Cokin-compatible holder is available as a 1-slot filter holder with threaded front ring, or a 2-slot holder without front ring, suitable for wide-angle use.

For Cokin users who want to step up to a better filter holder, we asked Hitech to manufacture an 85mm holder out of the same anodized aluminum as the standard Hitech filter. This filter holder is compatible with all 85mm Cokin and Hitech filters, and comes in two models. Model #1009 has two filter slots, both spring-loaded, for smooth insertion and removal. The other model (#1008) combines a single slot with a 95mm threaded front ring — perfect for stacking a circular polarizing filter with a square filter.
